From humble beginnings

From the industry’s first hydraulic actuated globe valve in the late 1930s to our latest technologically advanced electronic and hydraulic control systems, Cla-Val has always been a pioneer in control valve design and manufacturing.

Today, three generations of family leadership later, our legacy of leadership is only surpassed by our dedication to solving our customers’ problems. It’s an approach to doing business that has allowed us to become a trusted solutions partner to industry and government. Our customers include municipal water utilities, high-rise building contractors, fire protection contractors, shipbuilders, commercial airports, military airbases, Navies throughout the world, major oil companies and independent producers, to name a few.

State-of-the-art foundries and production facilities

Clv-Val moved to its present home and worldwide headquarters in Costa Mesa, California in 1954. Today, we are the only valve manufacturer in the world with two in-house foundries.

Because we own and operate our own foundries, it means that we are able to provide a broad range of valve patterns and sizes in more than fifty different varieties of metals and grades, including ductile iron, bronze, aluminum, aluminum bronze, steel, stainless steel, Monel and Inconel.

More importantly, our in-house foundries assure prompt delivery of the finest quality products to our customers.

We also have facilities in Canada, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom and New Zealand — all with dedicated, onsite training centers and teams of Direct Sales Members and Factory Authorized Sales Agents to provide industry expertise wherever it’s needed throughout the world.
